Perez Portraiture is more than a photography studio—it’s a story of love, vision, and legacy.
In 2010, husband-and-wife duo Jesse and Stephanie Perez founded J Perez Photography in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Together, they built a thriving business that captured life’s most cherished milestones—family portraits, weddings, senior photos, and newborn sessions. Working as a team, they created timeless images filled with heart, blending Jesse’s eye for detail with Stephanie’s creative direction.
When Jesse passed away, Stephanie chose to honor his memory and their shared dream by carrying forward the business they built together. Reimagined as Perez Portraiture, the studio now reflects a refined, boutique approach to photography—offering upscale, luxury portraits that focus exclusively on couples and adult clients.
Today, based in Moses Lake, Washington, Perez Portraiture specializes in both studio and natural settings, creating elevated images that embody elegance, intimacy, and artistry. Every portrait session is crafted with care and intention, ensuring that the experience is as meaningful as the final images themselves.

Jesse was born and raised in Moses Lake, Washington, and Stephanie was born in Escondido, California. Together, we built a life that carried us through many places—North Idaho, where our photography business first began; North Dakota, where Jesse worked in piping for the oil fields; and Southern California, where faith became an important part of our journey.
In 2010, we founded J Perez Photography in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Jesse was the frontman—the one behind the camera that clients laughed and connected with so easily. Stephanie worked alongside him as the second shooter, editor, and creative director—handling posing, scouting locations, scheduling sessions, and ensuring every detail was thoughtfully planned. Together, we created a true partnership, blending Jesse’s natural eye for candid artistry with Stephanie’s vision and direction.
We built our reputation capturing weddings, families, seniors, and newborns with a style that felt authentic, warm, and full of life. Jesse loved the energy of connecting with people and making each session an experience, while Stephanie loved crafting the story, refining the images, and bringing everything together into a polished final gallery.
Though Jesse has since passed away, his passion for photography continues through Perez Portraiture. Stephanie now carries forward the legacy they created together, transforming the business into an upscale, boutique portrait studio in Moses Lake, Washington. Today, Perez Portraiture focuses exclusively on couples and adults, creating luxury portrait experiences in both studio and natural settings.
